Adam Dance and Jo Roundell Greene are standing to be the Somerset Councillors for South Petherton and Islemoor. They are both committed local campaigners, and work hard to help people in our area.
Jo has lived in South Somerset for 20 years. She used to run a small catering business and was a district councillor until 2019. She secured thousands of pounds of funding for community facilities and is passionate about protecting the countryside and supporting our farmers. Jo is also a governor at Yeovil College.
Adam was born and bred in South Petherton and runs a landscape gardening business. He has years of experience helping local residents as a parish, district and county councillor. Adam is working actively to protect our services from cuts, like maintaining South Petherton library and making improvements to our roads and pavements.
During their time as councillors Adam and Jo have worked hard to protect local services, listened to residents, helped them with their problems, and taken on their ideas. Adam and Jo are the only people who can beat the Conservatives in South Petherton and Islemoor and stop further Conservative cuts.
The Lib Dem plan for our area
Protect local services
In the face of irresponsible Conservative Government and County Council cuts to our funding, Liberal Democrat run District Councils have prevented cuts to our vital local services.
Improve our environment
The Liberal Democrats are actively improving our environment. We are investing in local parks, planting trees, and promoting renewable energy across Somerset.
Invest in our communities
Liberal Democrat run District Councils are investing millions in Town Centres across Somerset. We have also invested in local community centres, theatres and are working to improve our parks and green spaces.
