Somerton

Tim Kerley and Dean Ruddle

Tim Kerley and Dean Ruddle are standing to be the Somerset Councillors for Somerton. Both are committed local campaigners and work hard to help people in our area.

Dean Ruddle has lived in Somerton his whole life and was educated locally. Dean is currently a District and County Councillor and has worked to support our local communities and local services like Somerton Library. Dean also worked to deliver the new school and supports many local groups. Dean will always fight for local residents, and to improve and protect our area.

Tim Kerley has lived in Somerset for 40 years, and in Somerton for the last 6. He was previously a history teacher and has worked in schools, colleges, museums, and in the prison service. Tim is a proven campaigner for both Somerton and Somerset, he has secured grant funding for local projects, helped to improve recycling in Somerset, and will continue to work hard for our area.

During their time as councillors Tim and Dean have worked hard to protect local services and help residents with their issues and ideas. Tim and Dean are the only people who can beat the Conservatives in Somerton and stop further Conservative cuts.

The Lib Dem plan for our area

Protect local services

In the face of irresponsible Conservative Government and County Council cuts to our funding, Liberal Democrat run District Councils have prevented cuts to our vital local services.

Improve our environment

The Liberal Democrats are actively improving our environment. We are investing in local parks, planting trees, and promoting renewable energy across Somerset.

Invest in our communities

Liberal Democrat run District Councils are investing millions in Town Centres across Somerset. We have also invested in local community centres, theatres and are working to improve our parks and green spaces.
