Sarah Dyke and Nicola Clark are standing to be the Somerset Councillors for Blackmoor Vale. Both are committed local campaigners and work hard to help people in our area.
Nicola Clark was elected to South Somerset District Council in 2019 and is a committed and busy Liberal Democrat councillor. Nicola has helped to run local charity events, been a school governor, and previously worked in the agricultural sector. Nicola has secured grants for projects across Somerset and has fought against climate change with tree planting and other green projects.
Sarah Dyke has been the councillor for Milborne Port since 2015 and understands about the issues affecting rural communities. Sarah has helped to secure services for Milborne Port including a community hub and has overseen innovative projects to fight climate change such as Electric Vehicle Charging and re-wilding marginal green spaces.
During their time as councillors Sarah and Nicola have worked hard to help residents with their issues and ideas and are committed to improving quality of life for local people. Sarah and Nicola are the only people who can beat the Conservatives here and stop further Conservative cuts.
The Lib Dem plan for our area
Protect local services
In the face of irresponsible Conservative Government and County Council cuts to our funding, Liberal Democrat run District Councils have prevented cuts to our vital local services.
Improve our environment
The Liberal Democrats are actively improving our environment. We are investing in local parks, planting trees, and promoting renewable energy across Somerset.
Invest in our communities
Liberal Democrat run District Councils are investing millions in Town Centres across Somerset. We have also invested in local community centres, theatres and are working to improve our parks and green spaces.
